The weather held out for the entire day and the skies even cleared out for a few late day shots.

"What a great day!", was heard from more than one person as they packed up their gear, "Let's hope we have another November launch next year."

And while the numbers indicate 68 flights from 29 flyers, more than a few people felt this was undercounted.

2024 - Upcoming Preview

Hopes are high for 2024. There is a real possibility that we will get some heavy equipment for work on the field clearing brush. And TRIPOLI Pittsburgh will be getting some new equipment as well. Watch here for updates!

There are plans for new contests beginning in 2024 also. The two that have been proposed are a closest to a mile and closest to the waiver (which is 14,000 feet!) Details are being worked out as of this writing so check back here for more info.

Off season work is already underway as well. John Haught has new motor batches in the works and Joe Pscolka may finish his big Saturn V one of these days. TR plans on flying his L3 again (perhaps more than once) if he can get motors from John or Joe. Scott Kissinger is getting his ShockWave painted and may fly it again in 2024. Rumor has it that Eddie Zelenick may be going for his Level 2 certification also. Casey Andre (this years George Pike winner!) may finally get his L3 kit that he has been waiting years for (keep your fingers crossed for Casey). And Kevin might just bring out some motors from the 1980's!
