Flyers: 21

Joe Sheppard was one of Joe Pscolka's students years ago and flew his Level 3 certification flight at the Dragon's Fire Field.

Joe poses with his Free Bird 3 before loading it up on the hill behind the high power pads early in the morning.

The Free Bird 3 was designed to fly on a long 54mm, Loki M-1378 motor to just over 13,000 feet.

Yes, thats 13-thousand feet.
While Joe Sheppard loaded up his big Free Bird on the hill, John Haught, Rob Camele and Scott Kissinger load up the high power pads.

Scott Kissinger ended up with the first launch of the day since Joe Sheppard's igniter spat out the bottom.

Scott's Dart Express lifts off on an J-469 Blue Moon motor.

Rob Camele was up next with his big Mega Initiater going up on a dark, sparky I-280 motor.
Last but not least of the first group of flyers was John Haught.

John's Wild Thang Jr. flew on a research 38mm, 3 grain I-319 Great White propellant motor.

John's rocket came down closer than most for Sunday's launch as the winds picked up.
