Flyers: 15
Flights: 32

Anyone attending a TRIPOLI Pittsburgh launch within the last couple of years has probably seen the Hot Sauce of John Haught fly. And while the Hot Sauce flies regularly, it never gets dull.

The photo at right was shot just after the flight and the orange parachute just to the left of the Hot Sauce was supposed to deploy for recovery. Scroll down to see the pictures of the flight and why we say "supposed".
John Haught
Hot Sauce
The Hot Sauce lifts off from the high power pads on a two grain, 54mm J-288 motor that John calls Dark Horse propellant.

The "Dark" part is pretty self explanitory. The "Horse" part is that the roar of this motor frightens horses.
This photo was not rotated.
The Hot Sauce enters its plummet phase of flight.
TRIPOLI Pittsburgh regulary has exciting flights at its launches. August was no exception.

And adding to the thrill of high power rocketry is members like John Haught.

Thanks for the excitement John!
