Jerry Andre is one of the most consistant flyers of TRIPOLI Pittsburgh. His designs are rarely the standard "4 fins and a nose cone" type of rockets.
In addition to being 'unconventional' designs, Jerry's rockets are well detailed. Check out the paint job and decals on his Conquest (at right).
The Conquest takes off on a C motor from the low power pads below.

Not only does Jerry Andre fly rockets by the bucketful, he is always willing to help out other flyers.
Here Jerry checks out the igniter in Francis Graham's monocopter after its refusal to ignite.
Jerry hauls out his big Expeditor Extended to the high power pads.
According to Jerry: "It started out as a LOC Precision Expediter and I made it longer and added three more fins."
The Expediter is 87" tall and weighs in at about 5 lbs.
Jerry watches the Expediter lift off on an I-218 to an altitude of around 1500'.
Jerry does his Igniter-Vampire impression while loading his Interogater onto the high power pads.
Shadows were getting a little long but Jerry Andre had one more that he wanted to fly.
Here Jerry loads his X-Calibur onto the high power pad.
According to Jerry, the X-Calibur is a Public Missles kit that he has been flying since 2001.
Lifting off on a G-71 motor the 20+ year old rocket seems to have aged well.
At the end of the day Jerry Andre did what he usually does at a TRIPOLI Pittsburgh launch. He helps out. All of TRIPOLI launches and events are all volunteer. And Jerry is one of the best at helping out and providing the rest of us great flights of his interesting rockets.
Thanks Jerry!
